Since the two schools - Immanuel Kant and GBHS – have joined the Digital Bridge. A Technological Bridge with Cameroon Project on International Cooepration, their relationship has grown considerably.
Amongst the many activities organized for the project, An Afternoon for Cameroon stands out: last Saturday, the Pro Fontem Student Committee at I. Kant organized a musical and gastronomical afternoon to raise funds for their twinned school.
Following the concert, the gastronomic award was presented to the best dish prepared by visitors, students, alumni, teachers and parents. The categories awarded were “Best Savoury Dish” and “Best Sweet Dish” both in the Adult and Youth categories. The name of the winner? Solidarity!

Maria Chiara, the student who acted as host, explains how all the money raised will be used to provide scholarships in collaboration with Martin Nkafu, President of LATS, the partner that coordinates project Digital Bridge in Cameroon.

Project Digital Bridge has a series of specific objectives:
- Allow young students to have cultural exchanges with different countries and cultures in order to strengthen intercultural contacts amongst schools in the Lazio Region and Cameroon.
- Educate youth on the innovative uses of new IT to promote rights, develop active citizenship and equal opportunities.
- Create new job opportunities in the Region of Lebialem to reduce migration towards urban centres and other countries, as well as to promote the job insertion of women.
- Enrich didactic programmes with intercultural elements.
- Provide Cameroon with sustainable infrastructures, tools and competences to guarantee the autonomy of local communities.
