Neighbourhood Innovation

Let’s take a look at the winning projects of various editions of the Global Junior Challenge International Competition. Over the course of eight editions, we have created a database of over 3700 projects implemented around the world. We have selected over 600 success cases and assigned over 100 awards.

Today, we will speak about FabriQ, a social innovation incubator in Milan and one of the winners of the seventh edition in the "ICT for the Introduction of Youth into the Working World" Category.

Developed in 2014 in collaboration with the Fondazione BrodoliniImpact Hub and the Comune di Milano, today, FabriQ has just launched the second edition of its FabriQ Quarto Call for enterprises that look to the suburbs as a place for testing innovation projects with a social impact. Selected enterprises may receive up to €45,500 per project.

Project will have to be developed in the Quarto Oggiaro neighbourhood, where the incubator is located, or in the nearby areas of Villapizzone, Bovisasca, Bovisa, Comasina, Bruzzano, Dèrgano, Affori and Niguarda, all of which are characterised by social and economic fragility, as well as the presence of important social infrastructure (i.e., Niguarda Hospital, Campus Bovisa, etc.).
