A section of the prestigious showcase area at the seventh edition of the RomeCup is dedicated to universities. The Politecnico di Torino will participate in all the scheduled activities and exhibit prototypes and involve students in the laboratory dedicated to ZeroRobotics. Prof. Reyneri will participate in the "Robotics and the Job" conference dedicated to teachers and school administrators.
Low-cost nanosatellites developed by high school and university students in aerospace engineering courses will also be presented.
In a telephone interview Prof. Reyneri, Professor of Electronics at the Politecnico di Torino, describes the relation between Robotics and the job market. “Robots have modified the technical level of some professions and replace human beings in difficult and dangerous tasks and require high-level competences for specialized figures. And this is valid for schools, too.”
