More Grandparents on the Internet

On March 6 at 2:30 the first Grandparents on the Internet course will start in Tuscany at the ISIS Gobetti Volta School in Bagni a Ripoli in the Province of Florence.

Tuscan over-sixties, including ANLA Toscana members, will be followed by 18 tutors to learn about new technology and the world of the Internet.

School administrator Clara Pistolesi has backed this initiative and believes strongly in promoting dialogue between generations.

In Basilicata, the Grandparents on the Internet course is female-centric: all the students are elder women attending the third-age university (Università della Terza Età). This first female-only GoI course is coordinated by the "Liceo Scientifico Majorana" in Genzano di Lucania (Province Potenza). The tutors are students from Class IIC and are coordinated by Vice Headmasters Vincenza Brucella and Professor Maria Giovanna Grasso.
