The Fondazione Mondo Digitale participates in Project M-LEARN - Training Teachers to Use Mobile (handheld) Technologies within Mainstream School Education, financed by the LLP-Comenius Multilateral Project, in partnership with five other organisations in Greece, the Netherlands, Romania and the UK.
 
The project involves 10 teachers and 7 Italian schools that from October 2013 to March 30, 2016 will receive training and experiment the use of mobile technology for teaching learning.
 
Thanks to the contribution by the European Commission, participation in the training courses organized by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, which is accredited by the Ministry of Education, University and Research, will be offered free of charge to 10 young teachers/trainers interested in become new technology for didactics experts. The courses will be held at the Città Educativa Phyrtual Innovation Gym in Rome.
 
The aim of the project is to integrate mobile technology for learning – usually referred to as “mobile learning” or “mlearning” – in the regular curricula for initial teacher training, in-service training and continuous professional development programmes in the four countries involved in the project (Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, the UK).
 
The project partners conducted a survey with the University of Lancaster to identify the training needs of teachers and developed an multi-level educational programme for schools.
 
The course includes participation in the events held on September 12-13, 2014 and January 30, 2015.
