On March 26-27, 2013, the Rome Città Educativa (via del Quadraro 102) will host 20 teachers participating in Project Meet No Neet for a two-day training event with Alfonso Molina, Professor of Technology Strategy at the University of Edinburgh and Scientific Director of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale.
Other speakers include Mirta Michilli, Director General of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, Roberta Cocco, Social Responsibility and National Plan Development Director for Microsoft Italy and Maddalena Miliano, Department of School and Educational Services, Roma Capitale.

“The meeting will begin with the presentation of the didactic approach. It will be an open and collaborative environment that welcomes suggestions from the participants as part of the integral process,” explains Professor Molina, who will coordinate the two-day event.
The event will address issues ranging from innovative learning theories to problem solving and micro-didactic modules to team building. The final objective of the training event is to provide teachers with tools to start empowerment and social innovation initiatives with their students.

Project MEET NO NEET, developed via a partnership between Microsoft Italia, Fondazione Mondo Digitale, Roma Capitale and Italian school, aims to provide students with innovative tools and competences necessary to find an occupation via social commitment. The key words are life skills and social innovation. The project addresses 6000 students aged 18-24 through the participation of 18 Italian second-degree secondary schools and two universities.
