Looking for Innovators

Finding and promoting innovators in the public and private spheres, who – moulding skills, ideas and initiative – have driven change in their organisations. This is the objective of the “Rompiamo gli schemi” Award, an initiative of FPA, a company of the Digital360 Group. The award addresses all individuals who have concentrated on reaching objectives and results over procedures and tasks, opting for forward-looking solutions to drive change.

Winners will receive their awards at the FORUM PA 2022 (June 14-17). The event will be held with an innovative hybrid format at the Rome “Centro Congressi Auditorium della Tecnica” and on-line, live on the FPA platform. Candidatures may be submitted through March 18, 2022, by 5:00 pm.

The initiative is developed in collaboration with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, Fondazione per la Sostenibilità Digitale, PA Social and IWA Italy. The media partner is Wired.

Submitted projects will be reviewed by an FPA jury that will select a short list of 10 candidates based on the following criteria: exhaustive description, complete exposition of story in relation to the focus of the award, coherence with the aims and objectives of the call, significance of the innovation introduced to the organisation, originality of the experience and methodology adopted, quality of content and adopted tools (including new technologies), replicable nature in various contexts. The jurists will select three winners from the short list.

“Individuals are fundamental to the renewal of the public administration,” emphasises Gianni Dominici, Director General, FPA. “Just consider the importance of new hires in the public administration, their skills and education, and their importance to the implementation of the PNRR. If the public administration is to be the driver of the country’s recovery, we need motivated individuals with soft skills such as emotional intelligence, creative problem solving and critical thinking.  Innovators, especially in the public administration, are often isolated individuals who strive to bring passion and change to their workplace, but who are not recognised, due to a culture still founded on procedures rather than results and objectives. And this is why we want to amplify these stories. Let’s allow excellence to emerge, so that it may cluster and create a system.”
