The Liceo Francesco D’assisi in Rome is one of the schools participating in Project ComeOn! - COMmunity projEcts for social innovatiON through intergenerational volunteering experiences, which promotes the active citizenship of youth, and elderly through intergenerational volunteering.
In 5 European countries, students, teachers and over-sixties, are enjoying a pilot course on micro-planning and social innovation to identify and resolve local and community issues. Thanks to intergenerational volunteering and peer-to-peer collaborative didactics, the elders face the challenge of active ageing and digital inclusion, while the students acquire the life skills that are indispensable to work and live in the 21st century.
