Last Wednesday, June 6, IIS Emanuela Loi in Nettuno hosted the first Creativity Jam organised by Eskills4Change, the Microsoft a d Fondazione Mondo Digitale Project financed as part of the global YouthSpark Programme dedicated to 10.000 young men and women aged 15-24 in Italy.

The project promotes original aggregative events, both in and outside of school, to help youth experiment and rapidly acquire, in an experiential manner, a mental attitude favouring change and open to the fundamental competences necessary to solve problems in a creative and innovative manner.

The six competing teams worked on an innovative idea for the areas of Anzio and Nettuno: a system to reinvest unused cents. The challenge was won by Project Coupon Machine: local shopkeepers can accumulate 1 and 2-cent coins and provide small discounts to those who “charge” the device.

"I loved the spirit with which the students faced this challenge,” explains Debora Cavallo, who followed the day for the Fondazione Mondo Digitale. "They worked seriously and passionately and proposed many great ideas.”

Debora recorded three short interviews at the end of the day with the winning team and two all-female teams.
