"What emerges from these meetings is that, as teachers, we have to grasp the fact that we are not walking troves of knowledge, but that we too must continue to grow and change. Our task is to promote the development of transversal skills in students, which, in turn, will help us grow, too,” explains Tonia Calò, a teacher at IIS Don Milani in Gragnano (Naples) and e-twinning ambassador for the Campania Region, at the end of the three-webinar cycle held by Ana Lain with the help of Cecilia Stajano.
The first pilot course addressed the Life Education Methodology (#Edu4Life) developed by Alfonso Molina, Professor of Technology Strategy at the University of Edinburgh and Scientific Director of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale.
The on-line course, which was held in three sessions (September 10, 12 and 16), involved 71 teachers from 21 schools in 11 Italian Regions. The teachers that participated in the webinars are actively involved in Projects Active Ageing and Solidarity Amongst Generations through Learning and Social Innovation and Meet No Neet.
The third and final webinar, held yesterday, addressed techniques to communicate and promote projects on the Phyrtual platform and, in particular, on the first crowdfunding campaigns developed by schools with the My Future? #itsuptome slogan.
