Administrators, teachers and students are invited to participated in the Global Junior Challenge (GJC) and the Special Tullio De Mauro Award by submitting projects or describing their experience during the health emergency. The deadline for submissions is May 31, 2021.

And while the database of the international competition continues receive new proposals (4000 in 9 editions so far), we continue to peruse passed stories and projects ...

In the video selfie, Andrea Ciappi, a Professor at the Istituto Professionale Luigi Einaudi in Pistoia, describes Project A Wallet of Inclusion, conceived to bridge the physical gap between students during the lockdown and periods of closed schools.

“This on-line platform allowed students to exchange emotions, words, poems, drawings and photographs. All in the name of inclusion and nearness.”

The activities served as a connection between Leonardo, a student with special needs, and his classmates, who never stopped supporting him throughout the school year. Even the professors collaborated to allow the student to continue his distance learning activities.

This is a project that reveals how a correct use of digital tools can promote inclusion and transmit empathy and human warmth.
