They’re small, but they’re also “big” notwithstanding the fact that they’re all less than 10 years old. The young programmers from the Secondo Circolo didattico di Eboli are ready to attend the RomeCup for the second year in a row. Their orchestras and dancers are itching to enter the competitions and animate the didactic laboratories. During the course of the year, they have also built their first humanoid robot that will be presented in Rome to other aspiring creators.
On March 14-15, the 5th edition of the International Trophy, will involve students from the fourth and fifth years in two specific activities:
- Show their works and skills to visitors, teachers and students from other schools in the exhibition area; in particular, the students will animate two laboratories dedicated to primary school students: L’ape giocherellona (The Playful Bee for classes 1 and 2) and Ballando con i robot (Dancing with Robots for classes 4 and 5).
- Participate in the Dance primary competitions. The two teams – RoboEboli and Robo150 – are respectively composed of 5 and 16 robots. And this is quite a feat, because programming that number of robots to move synchronously is extremely difficult to manage.
