The RealD Educational Campaign, the new educational campaign dedicated to schools, is promoted by RealD, a global leader in the development of 3D movie systems, in collaboration with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale.

The campaign is based on a free project on new visual technology for first-degree secondary school (years two and three) and second-degree secondary school (years one and two) in three cities: Milan, Rome and Naples. The objective is to provide realistic and exciting visual experiences and introduce students to three-dimensional technology through an original contest.

  • G. Marconi - Civitavecchia
  • Peano - Monterotondo
  • Pantaleoni - Frascati
  • IC Belfiore del Chienti - Rome

The students will experience a 3D projection first hand with the help of RealD experts, who will explains how the technology works and what the differences are with traditional 2D projections. This will be followed by a screening of Walt Disney’s Zootropolis. All participants will receive personal 3D glasses.

Moreover, all students will participate in an Immersive Storytelling Contest: draw a 2D character for an Immersive Storytelling Project. The winning student in each city will get to transform his character into a real 3D figure with the help of immersive technology experts at the Fondazione Mondo Digitale’s Phyrtual Innovation Gym Immersive Lab.
