From Kits to Competitions

The Robot Week organized by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale  for the fifth edition of euRobotics Week  (November 23-29, 2015), promoted by euRobotics Aisbl – The European Association for a Public-Private Partnership in Robotics, continues.

 

After a day spent at the Antonio Ruberti Department of Computer, Control and Management Engineering  at Sapienza University in Rome, today it’s the turn of the Robotics Centre at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym.

Students from Class 3B at the Istituto comprensivo Federico Fellini will work on the Lego WeDo Kit with Coach Emanuele Limiti from 9 am to 1 pm. The young students will learn to build simple animals like fierce lions, starved alligators and flying birds, but not only. The Lego WeDo Kit can also be used to create a small soccer robot.

Robotics Centre: RomeCup 2016: create your team!

The FMD provides students who wish to participate in RomeCup 2016 – Excellence in Robotics in Rome, with the skills of Robotics coaches to prepare the teams for the competitions.

 

Two forms of participation are possible, both with FMD coaches: students can take advantage of the FMD Kit or bring their own kit to the Robotics Centre.

The European Robotics Week (#ERW2015) is also the perfect opportunity to promote the “e-Skills for Jobs” campaign, organized by the European Commission in 22 countries to promote digital skills amongst the new generations.
