How are “intelligent objects” made? How are prototypes developed? The IoT Generation is working with digital manufacturing. Project “IoT at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym” ends today with two days fully dedicated to the development of prototypes concerning smart communities. Following a day dedicated to conceiving ideas, the next day will be dedicated to producing the best project ideas with the devices and technology available at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym Digital Manufacturing Lab.
Project ideas will be evaluated in terms of:
- Adherence to the subject
- Concrete nature of the idea
- Innovation
- Development potential (prototyping)
- Feasibility
- Pitch
Two hundred students from 7 second-degree secondary schools will participate in the challenge. Five schools in Rome will participate: Leonardo Da Vinci di Roma (5), Vittorio Gassman (3), Lombardo Radice (16), Primo Levi (43) and Giuseppe Garibaldi (42). The Maffeo Pantaleoni (36) School is in Frascati, in the Province of Rome, while the seventh is the Mancini School in Avellino (57).
