The Rome IIS Leonardo Da Vinci School, directed by Irene De Angelis Curtis, is one of the schools participating in Project IoT at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym promoted with Cisco. The school, which is renowned for its welcome activities, is now ready to work on the challenge of transforming the Internet of Things (IoT) into the Internet of People (IoP). How can we use the web for a collective objective? How can we collect intelligences to solve our humanitarian crises?

Today, the students, coordinated by Prof. Maria Sofia Sessa, will meet Marco Brocchieri, a coach at the Palestra dell'Innovazione, to learn more about the Internet of Things.

In two and a half years, Project IoT at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym has involved 20,000 high school students and allowed them to experientially acquire competences and knowledge that they will be able to use to explore new professional opportunities provided by the interconnected world and move confidently on the job market.

Headmistress Irene De Angelis Curtis, who directs IIS Leonardo Da Vinci in Rome, received the Tullio De Mauro Special Award presented at the 8th edition of the Global Junior Challenge [see news: Innovating School].
