What are 50 young students doing at the national assembly of the CNA Retirees Association? Find out on Wednesday October 9, 2013 at 9:30 am at the Grand Hotel “Duca D’Este” in Tivoli where Project “INTERAGE” will be presented.

According to recent Ipsos data (July 2013), one third of all Italians express their opinions via blogs, social networks and forums. Although retired Internet surfers are still a niche item, this is slowly changing: for example, 79% of them read and write e-mails. What about other web tools? What happens when young students teach elders about the secrets of the Internet?

The Fondazione Mondo Digitale and Google, in collaboration with CNA Pensionati, have launched Project INTERAGE for intergenerational training and the creation of new job opportunities. It is a true exchange of competences between the young and the elderly. While the latter bring innovation and technology to the elderly, the latter provide their experience to the young students. The project is based on three fundamental elements: “made in Italy”, innovation and the exchange of knowledge. The project involves 3 regions - Piedmont, Lazio and Campania – 300 students and 9 Italian schools as well as 150 CNA retirees.

The appointment is Wednesday 9 October 2013 at 9:30 am at the Grand Hotel “Duca D’Este” in Tivoli. The project will be presented during the national assembly of CNA pensionati.

Participants include:

- National President, CNA Pensionati
- Laura Bononcini, Public Policy & Government Relations Manager, Google Italy
- Mirta Michilli, Director General, Fondazione Mondo Digitale
- Maria Beatrice Tragni, National Secretary, CNA Pensionati
- Sergio Silvestrini, Secretary General, CNA Nazionale
