Guests can use the free Internet connection provided at the e-Cafè to keep in contact with their families, participate in on-line digital literacy courses and learn to use e-gov services.
In order to provide a full course, the FMD has developed a didactic kit to teach Centro Enea guests about civic education and how to use a computer. There are two computer courses: a basic one and an advanced one (Microsoft Digital Literacy Certification).
“Digital Technology as a Tool for the Integration of Refugees” is a manual that illustrates the best practices conducted at the Centro Enea, as an experimented and transferrable model indicating the critical issues and the adopted solutions. There also is a volume dedicated to “Teaching Immigrants and Refugees.”
The aim is to create an open system that will allow an unhindered flow between inside and outside, preparing the guests for life “outside” and guaranteeing them equal access opportunities.
