On Wednesday June 19 at 5 pm, the Istituto Santa Maria Sports Centre in Rome di Roma (via Matteo Boiardo 28) hosted the “I’m There” football game for World Refugee Day, an annual appointment established by the General Assembly of the United Nations.
“The slogan that the UNHCR chose this year is: a story behind every number – Each story should be listened to. At the Fondazione Mondo Digitale we have narrated a lots of stories, starting with that of our Scientific Director, Professor Alfonso Molina, a former political refugee that used his sensibility and knowledge to create a successful integration model,” explains Mirta Michilli, Director General of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale.
Many novelties were introduced during this year’s event, including the presentation of data on integration by the Centro Studi e Ricerche Idos to the presentation of a solidarity award dedicated to the present audience. The new web radio of the Liceo Kennedy in Rome transmitted the game from the sidelines.
