The second educational workshop for European Project Holomakers is underway at the Faculty of Physics at the at the Warsaw University of Technology (WUT).
Holomakers, which is implemented as part of the European Erasmus+ Programme, involves high school students in the study of STEAM through new teaching methodologies for scientific subjects, such as holograms, virtual images and design.
The Fondazione Mondo Digitale will be represented by Daniele Vigo, maker and young coach at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym, and Lino Strangis, an intermedia artist [see news: Artistic Research].
We met Daniele Vigo a few years ago, when he was a student at IIS M. Buonarroti in Frascati. Today, Daniele is twenty years old and not only has he become an active part of the maker community at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym, but he is now also a coach for lifelong learning. In Warsaw, together with other participants from various European countries, he is learning about the techniques used to produce holograms with open source software Octave. And he is sharing his new experiences live via social networks.
