How Does a Robot Work?

A group of Students at IIS Galileo Ferraris in Scampia will participate  in the creative NonniBot Contest, held in collaboration with the “Federico II” University of Naples. The Students will be supervised by Professor Silvia Rossi from the Department of IT and Electric Engineering.

 

NonniBot, one of the challenges launched for RomeCup 2019, entails the development of a robot that can provide company to elders and connect remotely with a grandchild to manage emergency situations.

 

 

Prof.  Carmine Nasti has sent us an audio clip describing the work the Students are doing on the hardware. Giovanni Tesone, an automation student who is working on the robot hardware, which is based on an Arduino chipset and the sensors governing the moving parts. Giovanni explains the advantages of this electronic platform to develop the contest prototype.
