HIV: A Virtual Exhibition

Network Persone Sieropositive (NPS Italia onlus) is one of the ten patient associations that have conributed to the development of a virtual exhibition on HIV as part of the Together we can stop the virus awareness-raising campaign.

The exhibiton, which has been organised at the Milan “Spazio Base,” includes five six-metre augmented reality works. The installations, developed by artists and patients, address the five objectives for curing HIV: diagnosis, treatment, successful therapy, life quality and fighting stigma. Now, there is a virtual museum dedicated to this issue at www.hivstopthevirus.it. And the virtual exhibition, which is open to everyone, can be visited directly from your computer.

The students that will be participating in today’s course held by the Network Persone Sieropositive (Network of HIV-positive Individuals) for Project Factor J, promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale with Janssen Italia, will probably face the issue of HIV cures for the first time, and to do so they will first have to free their minds of commonplaces and stereotypes.

Factor J, promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale with Janssen Italia, is the first Italian school curriculum for educating students to develop emotional intelligence, respect and empathy towards individuals suffering from unease of disease. This is an important social operation to stimulate a change in mentality and culture in the new generations.

19.10 11:30 am – 1:00 pm | Factor J | Infectious Diseases | Coaches: Ada Moznich (NPS), Marta Tonelli (FMD) | IIS Croce Aleramo - Rome and IIS Primo Levi - San Donato Milanese
