“La Nuvola Rosa” (Pink Cloud) will be held in Rome on April 22-24, 2015. The initiative, however, is already on-line at www.lanuvolarosa.it. Registrations are now open for the free courses for young women aged 17-24.
The second edition of the project, which promotes technical-scientific education for young Italian women, will dedicate even more space to training and work opportunities for its participants. Moreover, even its social dimension will increase with a Facebook group (www.facebook.com/groups/nuvolarosa), a dedicated hashtag on Twitter (#nuvolarosa) and a streaming video platform (live and on demand).

Over 500 female students aged 17-24 will be able to attend more than 30 free courses in 6 areas held by over 50 speakers and with the collaboration of 14 partners. Pink Cloud is a Microsoft initiative to raise awareness amongst young female students and bridge the gender gap in science, technology and research.
Developed with the participation of the Department of Equal Opportunities of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and Sapienza University of Rome and with the support of the MIUR DG for Students, Integration, Participation and Communication, Microsoft Italy has organized the second edition of Pink Cloud in collaboration with Asus, Avanade, Intel and Telecom Italia.
The project also enjoys the knowledge partnership with McKinsey & Company, Associazione Valore D, always at the forefront in maximizing female talent and the collaboration of Adecco, Fondazione Cariplo, Fondazione Mondo Digitale and Junior Achievement.
Just like last year, Pink Cloud is an international project with a vast scope, also thanks to the support provided by world-level institutions such as UN Women, the UN Agency for Equal Opportunitites and Female Empowerment, UnRic, ITU and Unesco, whose representatives will be in Rome during the event.
