How should sensitive data be managed? Giorgia’s Microsoft certifications.
Giorgia Mannarino, 24, is about to complete her degree as a biomedical engineer at the Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome. During the presentation of the Cybersecurity for Operational Technologies, she focused on data and network security and liked the topic so much she pursued a SC900 - Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals certification.
In fact, the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, thanks to the support of Microsoft Italia through the Ambizione Italia for Cybersecurity Programme, is providing free vouchers to take the exams necessary to earn SC 900 and/or SC 200 certifications [see news: Certifying Skills].
“Having the opportunity to obtain a Microsoft certification was a huge privilege,” explains Giorgia. “I particularly appreciated the quality and thoroughness of the teaching material, which is directly accessible from the website and allowed me to delve deeper into many topics. The on-line exam made the certification process particularly accessible and flexible, allowing me to combine studying with my other commitments.”
Giorgia is convinced that the certification will be extremely useful in her professional career: “An in-depth knowledge of Microsoft security technology is certainly an added value to my studies. I hope to use what I have learned in my future jobs. Furthermore, the certification provides a solid basis to continue to grow professionally and keep updated on developments in the sector, thus contributing to creating a safer digital environment.”
Now, Giorgia is intrigued by another certification: “Yes, I intend to continue with further certifications and training courses in the field of IT security. I am currently considering the SC-200 in order to gradually improve my skills.”
