Heading to Lisbon

European Project Inclusive Senior Education through Virtual U3A (ISEV) has reached its second a final phase: blended mobility in Portugal. Four over-60s, DomenicoGuidoRoberto and Cristina will be travelling with Marcello Pistilli author of the Blusa Blog, Prof. Clelia Gentili (IIS Piaget-Diaz) and Eleonora Curatola to Lisbon to share their learning experience and the achieved results with other project partners. During the initial phase of the project, they learned not only about a wide range of communication technologies (from the web to on-line services) and how to use rapid prototyping machines, but also developed an on-line course on Rome’s monuments on the Moodle Platform.

The team also worked intensely during the summer break, exchanging materials. “Roberto purchased a new computer and used video-conferencing to keep updated while he was on holiday,” explains Eleonora. And they often all were at our offices to improve the distance learning platform. “They were the first to be awed by the level they had achieved,” continues Eleonora. “They would have never expected to become so talented; especially Guido, who had never used a computer before.”
