PROJECT PROFILE

The Fondazione Mondo Digitale is one of the partners at Binario F, the new facility buy Facebook Italy dedicated to the development of digital competences. The facility is located at the LVenture Group and LUISS EnLabs Hub at the Rome Termini Railway Station.

With Programme “Vagone FMD. Da 01 a 100,” the Fondazione Mondo Digitale plans to organise 46 events, between October 2018 and February 2019, involving 4000 individuals in a wide range of activities:

  • IoW - Internet of Women: meetings for women aged 50+ to promote knowledge of social media and the web through the intergenerational model. Digital tools will be illustrated by young women in school.
  • Social Media Hub: course on digital tools and social networks for company employees and public administration personnel ranging from the creation of efficient business content (medical, tourist, culture, etc.) to the creation of issue-based communities and group discussions.
  • Generations 4.0: intergenerational exchange of competences between students and adults to enrich each other’s abilities, knowledge and experience. The aim is to provide better access to the job market for the young and full citizenship, even digital, for the over-65s.
  • #SheMeansBusiness: four-hour courses on on-line marketing to increase the business opportunities of women entrepreneurs: business objectives, target identification, content creation, creation of pages and insight analysis.
  • Social4STEM: social networks as a tool for raising the awareness of young women and promote studies in scientific and technological subjects through coding labs, hackathons and full immersion days in technology. The aim is to fight the gender divide and increase the study of STEM subjects.
  • ChangeMakers: digital labs to provide young women with greater opportunities in education, employment and enterprise through creative design marathons and labs on social media and more.
  • Login: immersive educational experiences for the use of technological kits (i.e. robotics kits and IoT) and storytelling on social media to promote experiences.
  • Share: inclusion and valorisation of entrepreneurial and artisanal professions for migrants arriving to Italy through greater linguistic and IT skills, as well as transversal competences such as creative thinking and problem solving, which are indispensable for life and work in the 21st century.
  • Binario F Happy Hour: monthly meetings on issues related to digital competences (presentation of inspiring success stories, conferences, guests, etc.).  The entire HUB community, aggregated through the Facebook Group managed by the FMD, will be invited to participate.
