Hack Guarantee! Is the first national coding marathon launched by the Italian Ministry of Labour and Social Policy to present young men and women with awards and promote the Youth Guarantee Programme, a European strategy to fight youth unemployment.
Hack Guarantee! provides young men and women who are neither studying nor working to test their technical and creative skills. The objective, in fact, is to create an app prototype to exploit the data collected by the programme and promote matchmaking between job demand and supply.
The event will be held on December 4 throughout Italy, including at the Fondazione Mondo Digitale’s Phyrtual Innovation Gym, which is hosting its fourth hackathon in just over one year of activities (two editions of Coding Girls, the all-female coding marathon and the International hackathon for civic and social innovation, held for the Global Junior Challenge and Smart&Heart Cities multi-event).
The prototypes developed by participating teams will be evaluated by a jury from the Ministry and the winning project will receive 10,000 euro to develop the app.
