A Rai 3 team at the Rome Liceo Newton

"A digital literacy course for the elderly" is the title of the report drafted by Francesca Beolchi at the Isacco Newton scientific high school in Rome, following a training session based on the Grandparents on the Internet model.

In the school directed by Cristina Costarelli, Prof. Sandra Borra coordinates the digital literacy project for the elderly. The over 65s in the class are members of the Esquilino senior citizen centre and are accompanied by President Emeritus Floriana Barile.

The report was broadcast on the October 3rd episode of the Elisir, the historic daily programme dedicated to medicine on Rai 3. The service features interviews with Cecilia Stajano, community manager for the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, and Edoardo Mancini, coach. The expert in the studio is Doctor Alberto Tozzi, a specialist in preventive medicine from the Bambino Gesù Children's Hospital in Rome.
