Grandparents on the Internet

Tomorrow, 17 over-65s will return to school at the Istituto tecnico economico A. Tambosi in Trento, directed by Andrea Bezzi, to learn how to use technology and Internet connections with computers, tablets and smartphones. Each elder will be assisted by a student acting as a tutor and digital facilitator. Grandparents and students will meet for ten weeks, every Friday (14.30 - 16.30) until April 22.

The lab will be coordinated by Natale Scopelliti, Professor of Management IT, at his fifth experience with Grandparents on the Internet.

The educational experience will be bolstered with a few modules from Fully Enjoy the Internet, the educational programme on on-line safety promoted by Google, the Italian Postal PoliceAltroconsumo and Anteas.

Students volunteering as digital facilitators will receive PCTO credits, if they participate in 90% of the scheduled activities.
