"We are happy to participate in the RomeCup and continue our collaboration with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale. This year, we will host coding workshops for teachers with our Computer Science First Platform. CS First is a free on-line tool conceived to introduce students aged 9-14 to computer science. The platform is available in Italian not only to teachers, but also to parents and volunteers and can be used by anyone who wishes to help young men and women develop computer skills. And the beauty is that you don’t need computer skills to use it. Try it out at g.co/csfirst/it."

In the audio clip, Diego Ciulli, Public Policy Manager at Google, speaks about Google’s contribution to RomeCup 2019 (April 2-5), their teacher labs and stand in the showcase area.

At the stand, teachers can learn about and test CS First activities based on the learning objectives included in the curricula for primary school (years 4-5): animations, storytelling and interactive games created by teachers directly on the on-line platform with the Scratch coding language. The stand will be manned by coaches who will introduce visitors to digital creations and provide teachers with didactic materials and links to activities that they can use in class.
