The second edition of Project Amongst Generations. United for Work, a partnership between Fondazione Mondo Digitale, Google and CNA Pensionati, kicks off tomorrow in Siena at IIS Tito Sarrocchi. The official project will be launched shortly with a public event.
Giovanni Tridico, the professor who coordinates school relations with the working world, explains how school is trying to bridge the gap with the job market.
“We organize a series of meetings for our students with local enterprises every year. We also involve trade unions (Confindustria, Can, etc.) and public agencies (Inail, Usl ecc.). The aim is to provide an orientation service to our students and provide them with an outlook on the working world. The new project, which is based on intergenerational learning, is a perfect opportunity to enrich our students’ technical culture with the experiences of those who have worked in specific trades sectors (mechanics, installers, etc.). It will help turn theoretical knowledge into pratical knowledge.”
