Lab on the reframing technique

We often think about climate change as one of the most serious challenges of our time, an idea that can often cause a sense of impotence and anxiety in the new generations. What if we looked at climate change in terms of solutions, instead? And if we were to act accordingly what might happen?

Let’s try talking about climate change thinking about what we can do to contrast it, rather than the consequences that we will be forced to to suffer. This can stimulate our creativity and curiosity, recharge us with new energy, create positive synergies, promote the exchange of skills and provide us with new opportunities for personal, academic and professional growth …

The young men and women who participated in yesterday’s reframing lab with Coach Elisa Chierchiello were enthusiastic about it. The students were involved on a debate on sustainability with the reframing technique, which allows perceptions to be disassembled, helping to change the perspective and approaches to problems.

The students worked on imagining solutions and strategies to fight climate change for an hour that proved to also provide opportunities for growth.

Thinking “outside of the box” helps develop soft skills such as strategic problem solving and self-enterprise.

Giovanni, 15, from Rome, told us how important this type of training is to allow students to develop both soft and hard skills, which the new generations can use to help local communities and the planet!

The lab was organised at the Rome Città Educativa di Roma on Via del Quadraro 102 as part of Project CO.ME.SE (Code&fraME for Self-Empowerment), promoted with ENI, to orient youth towards digital skills, self-enterprise and sustainability as an answer to the great challenges of our times: the digital environmental transition.
