Xhoana, 16 years old, is Albanian. She attends the Liceo classico L. Rocci in Passo Corese, in the Province of Rieti.
During the Grandparents on the Internet course, she tutored Francesco (83) and Sergio (71), who even became her friends on social networks.
What does having friends mean? How can two such distant generations get to know each other in just 15 lessons? We asked Xhoanna to tell us about Francesco and Sergio. She surprised us! She knew all about her students and was very satisfied with her work, considering they had started from zero. She taught them to use the web, Skype, e-mail and Facebook.
Francesco, who organizes cultural events at his Centre for Elders at Fara in Sabina, did not hide the difficulties faced by the association in organizing such events. As a matter of fact, we hope that next year, Xhoanna will teach them about the crowdfunding integrated into the Phyrtual.org platform.
