Fully Enjoy the Internet for Families

New activities are about to begin for Fully Enjoy the Internet, the Google Programme that has been redeveloped for families, to involve not only teachers and parents, but also children, preadolescents, adolescents and grandparents.

The first scheduled activity is the primary school lab with the Postal Police that will be held on Thursday, April 22.

ACTIVITIES FOR STUDENTS

Fully Enjoy the Internet now offers new free learning activities for primary and secondary school students to help them acquire knowledge and active citizenship skills. The course will provide a concrete support to make civic education a more interesting and experiential subject.

  • Educational Meetings with the Postal Police on privacy and security for primary and first-degree secondary school students to raise their awareness about a conscientious use of the web and crimes relate to personal data.
  • Digital Storytelling Technique Labs for primary and first-degree secondary school students to narrate stories and experiences, respecting netiquette.
  • Fact-checking Labs for first and second-degree secondary school students to allow them to identify the traps of on-line communication, learn to flag fake news, and develop, in general, a critical approach to reading, sharing and creating on-line content. Some labs will be held in collaboration with Pagella politica.
  • Educational Meetings on Gentle Communication first and second-degree secondary school students to contrast cyberbullying and on-line hate.

ACTIVITIES FOR ELDERS

Elders play a fundamental role in the lives of children and adolescents. They are a reference point for their education and growth and can provide awareness and guidance even in relation to the web. Fully Enjoy the Internet provides elders with free training courses for skills related to digital citizenship:

  • On-line meetings on fake news and frauds, to learn to distinguish true and false.
  • On-line meetings on data and privacy to learn how to safeguard one’s peronsal information.
  • Labs on digital storytelling techniques to narrate experiences, stories or anecdotes, respecting netiquette. On-line appointments to promote grandparents as “analogic testimonials” of an era our youth has not experienced. Activities include interaction between elders and youth to promote exchanges and intergenerational learning.
