On Tuesday, January 28, the Rome MAXXI Museum will host the final event of "Arte sui Cammini" (Footpath Art). The initiative, which was kicked off in 2017 by the Regione Lazio, entailed the development and installation of works of contemporary art along the Spiritual Walks in the region. One of the seven selected projects was “Le radici auree” (Golden Roots) by Mariagrazia Pontorno. The project was developed with the support of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale.

The “Radici Auree” are three bronze sculptures place along the footpath that leads to the Rivodutri Monumental Beech Tree, a historical point of pilgrimage where, according to legend, the tree bent down to protect Saint Francis from a thunderstorm.

The event will end with a presentation of typical regional foods and wines organised by Arsial. Music will be provided by Antonello Aprea.
