Christmas vacations are coming up and as usual the schools in Rome end the year with parties and activities dedicated to the interests of the students, but also too many of the projects that they work on outside of school hours.
The schools participating in Project Digital Bridge. A technological bridge with Cameroon are celebrating the end of the first year of lessons dedicated to students, Italians and citizens Cameroon.
Classical lyceum B. Russell has created a calendar to sell and raise funds for the twinned school in Cameroon. The idea, organised by Prof. Marinella, was presented on Dec. 10 last year and was a success.
Another Marinella, an elementary school teacher, will also implement activities to support twinning and project activities in Cameroon during the party at the 157° Circolo didattico Torrimpietra, scheduled for Dec. 20.
The Istituto comprensivo Ladispoli will host a real-time videoconference with the twinned school to exchange Christmas greetings and wishes. The virtual meeting will take place on December 18th during the school party starting at 7 pm. Besides the videoconference, even Margherita, a teacher and referent for the Digital Bridge Project, has organised support activities for the project.
On December 22nd, just before the Christmas break, Prof. Paola will speak about the Digital Bridge Project at the Francesco D’Assisi Lyceum end of year party.
Efforts to increase support for Cameroon, however, will not end in 2010! Videoconferences and other didactic activities to support all the schools involved in Digital Bridge will begin again in January 2011.
