Appointment today at Binario F with Programme Vagone FMD
The first fashion show in the metaverse was held last year. And Roblox in collaboration with the Parsons School of Design has already produced a report on Metaverse Fashion Trends, which highlights five main trends:
- The growing influence of creator communities
- Self-expression and inclusivity in digital fashion are essential for Generation Z
- Nearly 3 out of 4 Gen Z individuals spend money on digital fashion
- Real-world trends affect avatar fashion and vice versa
- The prestige of digital fashion is on the rise
The annual report on “The State of Fashion 2023: Holding onto growth as global clouds gather,” published by McKinsey, highlights a new trend in digital marketing: “Brands will embrace creative campaigns and new channels, such as retail media networks and the metaverse, to receive a higher ROI on marketing expenditure and collect valuable data (First Party Data) that can be leveraged to deepen customer relationships.”
At present, the big fashion brands use the metaverse above all for marketing, but this new technology opens up unprecedented scenarios for sustainability, too. For example, virtual clothing can be used for modelling, sampling and commercialization before the designs are sent into production.
We address fashion in the metaverse today at Binario F with Programme Vagone FMD.
