Schools experiment innovative didactics with Robotics. The appointment for “Excellent Teachers” is Wednesday, November 27 at LEIS at 3 pm in via del Quadraro 102.
The third edition of the European Robotics Week 2013 will be held from November 25 to December 1, 2013. The objective of the euRobotics Week is to inform the general public about the impact that robots have on society, inspire students to be interested in science and technology and strengthen the European position on the global ICT and Robotics market. The Fondazione Mondo Digitale, which has been promoting didactics innovation in Italy and Europe for many years, will participate in the euRobotics Week with a series of activities that will be held at the Lego Education Innovation Studio that was inaugurated in March 2013 during the 7th edition of the Rome Cup – Excellence in Robotics in Rome.
On Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at 3 pm, the Rome Città Educativa (via del Quadraro 102) will host a meeting between teachers and school administrators in Rome to present Educational Robotics activities and the LEIS for the 2013-2014 school year. During the afternoon, students will provide demonstrations of the explorer and dancing robots they are preparing for Rome Cup 2014.
The nine teachers, who belong to “Network of Excellent Teachers” and manage activities at the LEIS, are coordinated by Francesca Del Duca, LEIS Coordinator for the Fondazione Mondo Digitale. The “Train The Trainers” model allows teachers to train other teachers, who can in turn train their colleagues to promote innovation throughout the local, regional and national schools.
