The first school to start hosting proximate learning in their Fab Lab again is the Istituto Comprensivo Madre Teresa di Calcutta in Milan that will hold digital manufacturing activities. This was followed by the audiovisual lab with external shooting. Finally, after a long break due to the measures enacted to contain the pandemic, even the other Innovation Gyms in Bari, Reggio Calabria and Palermo are reintroducing proximate learning activities for Project OpenSpace [see Agenda of the Week].
Previously, the aspiring photographers and video reporters had been “glued to their screens.” Indeed, Instructor Giampiero Santoro pulled off a true miracle: working in and out of doors, he helped the students see everything in the right light.
The following images document the work accomplished over the past weeks. “During Wednesday’s lesson, the students transformed a flat amatorial image into a far more cinematographic one with the help of the right lights and the correct positioning," explains video maker Giampiero Santoro.
Project "OpenSPACE – Active Participation Spaces for the Educational Community" allows selected by Con i Bambini as part of the Fund to contrast the educational poverty of minors (Adolescence Call), is a four-year project to make communities inclusive and responsible for promoting the educational and cultural growth, as well as to empower pre-adolescents and adolescents. The project is implemented in suburban areas of Bari, Milan, Palermo and Reggio Calabria.
