A meeting and debate at the Giorgi Woolf School in Rome
The Republic promotes the development of culture and technical and scientific research. It safeguards the landscape and the artistic and historical heritage of the country. It protects the environment, biodiversity and ecosystems, also in the interest of the future generations. National law regulates the way in which animals are protected.
People are free to pursue private entrepreneurship so long as it does not contrast social utility or damage our health, environment, safety, liberty or human dignity. The law determines all necessary programmes and checks so that public and private enterprise can be coordinated in terms of social and environmental objectives.
The reformulation of two articles (N. 9 and N. 14) of the Constitution was at the centre of a debate held by students last Tuesday, May 23 at the IIS Giorgi Woolf School in Rome (Municipio V), which hosts one of the seven Innovation Gyms developed as part of Programme Smart & Rome.
The students discussed their ideas with Senator Andrea Ferrazzi, also a TIM manager, who worked on modifying the articles on environmental protection in Constitutional Bill N. 1 (February 11, 2022). The "Environment and Constitution" event was organised by TIM as part of the Festival of Sustainable Development, promoted by Asvis.
Speakers included FMD Scientific Director Alfonso Molina, who briefly explained the Theory of Ecosystems and the new “Personal Sustainability Gym” PCTO course, developed in collaboration with the Rome Campus Bio-Medico University. The PCTO will involve a group of third and fourth year students at IIS Giorgi Woolf [see news: Psychophysical Wellbeing].
