More time to enter the competition dedicated to technologies that improve independence, accessibility and quality of life for people with disabilities
There is more time to enter Digital4Human. ‘Innovation that includes’, the competition promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale ETS and ING Italia as part of Job Digital Lab, in collaboration with Ausilioteca Roma and the Istituto Leonarda Vaccari.
To encourage the widest possible participation, the deadline for submitting applications, initially set for 10 September, has been extended to 4 October 2026.
The requirements, entry procedures and criteria set out in the call for entries remain unchanged. Applications already submitted are fully valid and do not need to be resubmitted. Digital4Human is aimed at technological solutions that have already been developed or trialled and are capable of tangibly improving the quality of life for people with disabilities, promoting independence, accessibility and participation at school, at work, at home and within the community.
Innovators and researchers, university teams, academic spin-offs, start-ups, associations, third-sector organisations, foundations, non-profit organisations, consortia, laboratories and research institutes are eligible to apply. Each project must include at least one person under the age of 35 in a key role.
The new timetable
- 4 October 2026, deadline for applications
- 20 October 2026, announcement of the five finalist projects
- 3 December 2026, final event, to mark International Day of Persons with Disabilities
The winning project will receive a prize of 3,000 euros.
Applications can be submitted via the online form available on the call for proposals page.
