"I know how difficult it is to create enterprise, but if the object is to help other women, I’m happy to share all my competences to help others grow professionally. At the beginning of my career, the web and then social media were a source of inspiration and courage. I met many women both on- and off-line who helped me grow. Now, I hope this project will be help me be useful to others.”
Rossana Turi, a digital strategy expert, will host a training session for Project She Means Business, the Facebook Programme implemented in Italy in collaboration with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, to promote female enterprise. The training session will be held at the Bari Chamber of Commerce with nearly one hundred women.

How much has the condition of women changed over the past 50 years? There are many years of difference between the youngest woman in the training session, a student, and the most experienced, a director in the tourism sector. Eleven percent of women are older than 50, while 13 percent are younger than 30. All the others are in the middle of their professional life and are committed to continuing to improve and accepting new challenges. Nearly 60% has already started an entrepreneurial activity. The most represented sectors include tourism and education/training. Over 20% are still looking for employment and interested in the opportunity to create a new enterprise with the necessary skills.
