Project MaTHiSiS - Managing Affective-learning THrough Intelligent atoms and Smart InteractionS, financed by the European Commission as part of the Horizon2020 ICT 2015 – Information and Communication Technologies Programme, kicks off in Madrid on January 21-22 at a meeting organized by Atos.
The project consortium, which will collaborate for 36 months from January 2016 to December 2018, includes 18 partners from 9 European countries (Spain, France, Greece, United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Germany and Lithuania). The Fondazione Mondo Digitale is one of the Italian partners.
The objective of Project MaTHiSiS - Managing Affective-learning THrough Intelligent atoms and Smart InteractionS is to provide a system-product including a curricula and professional training for individuals with intellectual disabilities that have been recognized, but not yet diagnosed.
The project will employ avant-garde technology, ranging from specialized robots to mobile devices, to create an educational robot-machine-computer-human interaction scheme based on custom-tailored learning objectives.
MaTHiSiS will be tested and validated in five areas: autism, multiple and profound learning disabilities, school education, professional training and distance professional orientation.
