On Monday, June 29 at 5 pm, Teramo will host the final conference to present the results reached by “Tutti a scuola,” a project that promotes the active participation of foreigners in public life through the introduction of children who have joined their families into the world of education. The final conference will be opened by the Prefect of Teramo, Valter Crudo

 

The project is financed by the European Fund for the Integration of Third Country Nationals and promoted by the

Prefettura - Ufficio territoriale del Governo di Teramo, in collaboration with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale.

 

How many reunited minors are the in the Province of Teramo? How many of them have the fundamental right to education? Do they actively participate in the public life of their city? The answers to these questions have been faced by Project “Tutti a scuola,” financed by the European Fund for the Integration of Third Country National (EIF, 2013, Action 9 UTG).

 

The main objective of the project is to fight school dispersion and dropout by immigrant minors and help them and their families by promoting personal growth and social integration by facing the risk of unease, exclusion and marginalization. The project has identified schools in the Province of Teramo as the main source of information and moved to raise the awareness of headmasters and teachers to promote a local alliance to support the active participation of foreigners.

 

On Monday, June 29 at 5 pm, the Aula Magna of the Convitto nazionale “Melchiorre Delfico” in Teramo will host a conference to present project awareness raising actions and results with Prefect Valter Crudo.

 

The initiative is promoted by the Prefettura U.T.G. di Teramo, in collaboration with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale. The main objective is to rasie the awareness of schools and families on the issue of minors that have recently rejoined their families and provide them with any necessary psychological and didactic support.

 

Cultural mediators, psychologists and integration experts will present the multidisciplinary work accomplished with children, schools and families, as well as establishing upcoming challenges and objectives.
