“Dopo Didattiche.2018” Conference

At the International Didattiche.2018 Conference (Rimini, October 12-13, 2018) promoted by Publishing House Erickson, Valentina Gelsomini held a lab on digital classrooms entitled "Making. Learning in Stop Motion,” dedicated to primary school teachers. All the projects created by the 175 teachers (7 sessions with 25 participants each) are available on Google Drive.

 

 

 

Each lab was organised around four issues:

  • Cycle of Water / Sciences
  • Italian Unity
  • Odyssey
  • Creativity

 

"The teachers casually formed groups,” explains Valentina, a coach at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym. "After a short explanation on how the lab would work and the didactic value of the stop-motion technique, the teachers began working on their materials and that available in the classroom.

Each group experimented with 3-4 issues. Most of the teachers had never worked with stop-motion before, but they found the lab fun. Indeed, nobody was in a hurry to leave at the end of the lab.  Many told me that they would use this technique at school, especially for students with specific learning disorders.”
