The objective of the E-skills for Growthworkshop is to gather digital competence ambassadors, digital icons (successful start-uppers and business angels) and digital experiences that can increase the competences of citizens, enterprises, public administrations, professionals and associations and have them present the best practices produced in Italy to develop new national and international initiatives.
The European Commission has launched two new projects to promote the acquisition of skills by youth and the creation of new enterprises:
• E-skills for Jobs 2014 focuses on the communication of experiences and best practices in EU member states. The project is based on digital ambassadors who are capable of transmitting the importance of digital reality to youth and pointing out which best practices to follow.
• Watify – Stimulating Digital Entrepreneurship aims to improve digital entrepreneurship in Europe by raising awareness and increasing the visibility of digital icons to create a European ecosystem of digital tutors. In other words, the EU wants start-ps and SMEs to begin a process of digital renewal and further development.
Following a brief introduction, participants will hold presentations in a series of panels. The event also includes “short sessions” of #digitalexperiences [see Agenda].
Cecilia Stajano will present the successful model implemented for Project Meet No Neet as part of the global Microsoft YouthSpark Programme.
