The Italian Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, in collaboration with Google and Unioncamere presented Project Growing Digital in Rome. The initiative aims to train 500,000 Garanzia Giovani members via on-line training on the crescereindigitale.it platform, 120 local labs and 3000 apprenticeships.
The training track will be defined by the scientific committee, which includes Alfonso Molina, Professor of Technology Strategy at the University of Edinburgh and Scientific Director of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale. In fact, Google is already experimenting the success of local digital labs with the FMD thanks to the Officina – New Jobs Workshop Project that was launched last march. The initiative aims to provide 10,000 young men and women with free labs on immersive reality, gaming, video-making and digital craftsmanship at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym (Roma, via del Quadraro 102).
The other members of the Scientific Committee include: Paolo Barberis, Innovation Councillor for the Prime Minister; Luca De Biase, Sole 24 Ore journalist and co-founder of the Associazione Italia Startup; Stefano Micelli, Professor of Economics and Enterprise Management at Università Ca’ Foscari; Tommaso Nannicini, Professor of Economics at Università Bocconi in Milan and the representatives of three project partners (Ministry of Labour, Google and Unioncamere).
