Digital and Solidary Councils

This week will witness 23 new courses starting for the School of Internet for Everyone: 11 are open to citizens of all ages, while 12 are reserved for students.

Five high schools are participating: IIS Marconi - Campobasso, Liceo Classico Tito Livio - Milan, IIS Facchinetti - Castellanza, IIS Marconi - Nocera Inferiore and IIS Lotti-Umberto I - Andria.

Councils participating in the initiative include two towns in Friuli: Zoppola and Trasaghis. Moreover, the Council of Sava, in the Province of Taranto, has already reserved two courses for its citizens thanks to the precious mediation of its Educational and Culture Councillor, Verdiana Toma.

The local coordinator in Puglia, Sergio Piergianni, also points out the services provided by local broadcaster Dario Iaia. "We joined the project because it provides a service to citizens,” explains the mayor. “We are always open to education and digitalisation is an integral part of our lives. Starting in October, we will need a public SPID ID to access public administration services. Moreover, digital payments are everywhere. So, I believe this is an important tool to help out those who require further information to keep abreast of the times.”

Public and private organisations that wish to enrol their employees in courses should write to ord@mondodigitale.org or contact their regional coordinators.

The project is promoted by TIM in collaboration with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale as part of national programme Operation Digital Risorgimento.
