On September 16-18, 2019, the Rome MAXXI will host the sixth edition of womENcourage 2019, an event conceived to encourage and promote young female students and professionals that have chosen an ICT curriculum or who are interested in learning more about new technology.
Sapienza University of Rome, the event organiser, has provided a number of free registration vouchers for the conference that will preferably be assigned to young women participating in the September 16 hackathon.
In her message to the young female students, Prof. Paola Velardi pointed out that “a perfect hackathon team includes coders, but also young women with competences in other sectors, especially business and management, but not only.” So, all curious young women are invited to participate, even those with no experience in coding. “The important thing is that you speak English, at least a little. This is a European conference and half of the participants come from other parts of Europe.”
The companies sponsoring the conference will be present at a job fair on Tuesday, September 17 to hold interviews with participants.
Interested candidates would send a curriculum and a motivational letter, also indicating whether they would like to participate in the hackathon (preferential element) to the Programme Chair (velardi@di.uniroma1.it) by August 5.
