From CS First League to the GJC

On October 16, the Fondazione Mondo Digitale’s Phyrtual Innovation Gym will host the CS First League, a meeting for teachers from five participating Italian Regions (Lazio, Campania, Sicily, Veneto and Lombardy) that will present projects developed with CS First and develop new projects cooperatively. And the CS First League Challenge continues all the way to the Global Junior Challenge!

Here is the message that we mailed out to all our coaches:

Dear CS First Educators,

We are pleased to announce that the CS First league will be held on October 16 (2:30 - 6:30 pm) at FMD!

You are all invited to participate in the event and share projects with the community of CS First teachers and benefit from the contamination of ideas that FMD promotes and drives in all its projects.

We invite you to take a look at the attached event programme and to share your projects with the FMD team by writing to formazione@mondodigitale.org (please indicated  name, last name and "candidatura CS First league" in the subject line).

To participate you must submit the following by October 8

  • A description (5 lines) of your project (main idea and relevance to primary or first-degree secondary school curricula);
  • Link to developed programme, published on Scratch from your CS First account;
  • A short video message (but only if you will not be able to be present, and we hope you will!).

On October 12, we will communicate the list of selected projects that will be presented on October 16.

The day will also include round tables to discuss the selected projects, divided by region, to discuss the work accomplished. After the League, the teachers will have until December to perfect their proejcts.

The best projects will receive awards at the Global Junior Challenge (Rome,  December 11-13, 2019), a biennial event dedicated to the memory of Tullio De Mauro, FMD President for over 10 years and who was profoundly committed to academic research and the promotion of innovative cultural opportunities for the world of education.

We’re looking forward to your candidature!
